Education Resource Specialist RN Abdominal (Kidney) Transplant
Location: Houston TX
Salary Range: $89000.00 $130000.00 annually

Position Overview
HireNow Staffing is seeking a highly qualified and passionate Education Resource Specialist to support the Abdominal (Kidney) Transplant team at a premier medical center in Houston Texas. This position offers a unique opportunity to advance healthcare education and support a specialized transplant unit committed to patient care and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive educational modules and continuing education events for the abdominal transplant program including outpatient transplant ICU and acute care settings.
- Provide advanced training orientation and ongoing education to clinical staff and transplant coordinators.
- Ensure compliance with OPTN and CSM guidelines integrating best practices into educational materials.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including support for the SICU and outpatient transplant unit.
- Participate in a comprehensive 3day classroom training program working directly with leadership to meet educational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License: Texas or multistate compact license clear of stipulations or disciplinary actions. (Disclosure of any board actions is mandatory during the recruitment process.)
- Education: Masters Degree in Nursing (education focus preferred).
- Certifications: Current BLS certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing.
- 3 years of Kidney Transplant Coordinator experience (required; nonnegotiable).
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Proven track record of stable employment history (job history dates and units worked must be accurate).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Transplant Coordinator.
- Familiarity with Epic OPTN and CSM guidelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage complex educational tasks effectively.
- Honest and transparent regarding unit shift and location preferences.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday 7:00 AM 4:00 PM with some flexibility.
