Position Title Software Consultant About the Role We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Software Consultants to join our team in assessing and optimizing the IT landscape for of our customers This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and consulting acumen to analyze data create actionable insights and drive transformation initiatives The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the rationalization and optimization of over several hundred deployments and applications utilizing various technologies Key Responsibilities 1 Data Analysis and Assessment Analyze data collected from automated tools to understand the current IT landscape Identify key factors for application rationalization and optimization Conduct business impact analysis based on application dependencies 2 Consultation and Stakeholder Engagement Develop comprehensive questionnaires for discussions with Product Owners and Application Owners Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and insights 3 Optimization and Transformation Strategy Define different optimization and transformation factors for applications including Decommissioning Container adoption Application consolidation Open source stack adoption Legacy Modernization Cloud migration and optimization Cost optimization Create business case and risk mitigation for transformation modernization Create Strategic plan pattern for transformation roll out in enterprise customer organization 4 Quality Assurance and Collaboration Challenge and validate proposed solutions from various Architecture team Ensure alignment with industry best practices and organizational standards 5 Cloud Computing Assess and recommend cloud solutions that align with the target architecture Experience with major cloud platforms AWS Azure Google Cloud and cloud native services Develop strategies for cloud adoption cost optimization and scalability Required Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field Master s degree preferred Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in software consulting IT assessment and optimization Proven track record of working on large scale IT projects with multiple technologies Technical Skills Proficiency in data analysis and assessment tools Strong understanding of various IT architectures and technologies Experience with containerization Docker Kubernetes open source stacks and application consolidation Expertise in cloud computing including cloud migration deployment and management Experience in Enterprise Architecture tool such as SPARX LeanIX BizzDesign etc Experience in Enterprise Architecture Framework TOAGAF Zachman etc Proficient in cost monitoring and optimization techniques on cloud platforms Strong understanding of cloud scalability security and resilience aspects Strong understanding of various cloud architecture and design patterns Strong understanding of DevOps toolchains monitoring troubleshooting techniques Consulting Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels Strong problem solving and analytical skills Experience in creating and conducting workshops and interviews Project Management Ability to develop comprehensive project plans and manage execution Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good to have Certifications in relevant technologies and project management methodologies Familiarity with automated IT landscape assessment tools like CAST Dynatrace Discovery BMC ADDM ECA etc Personal Attributes Self motivated and proactive Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment
