Job Description
VPG is looking for Finance Controller (temp to act as accounting manager supervising the accounting function at VPG entities in Germany.
Major Responsibilities
1. Oversight and operation of monthly financial processes including credit control journal entry and review balance sheet and control account reconciliations maintenance of data upload into consolidation platform (TM1 server)
2. Oversight and operation of periodic VAT and other regulatory tax and financial returns as required by German fiscal authorities
3. Managing and reporting of German country finance department including application of procedures and policies (SOX)
4. Preparation and reporting of company income tax computations budgets and other financial data
5. Responsible for compliance with USGAAP and local GAAP accounting principles
6. Liaise with payroll bureau advisors auditors and other regulatory authorities
7. Coordinate with the VPG financial headquarters to ensure smooth running of the accounting functions
8. Report to local managing directors and to regional controller Europe
9. Ensure preparation and budget forecasts and reporting to TM1
10. Ensure regular timely and accurate monthly reporting of balances and results for VPG German entities to the Group s cons. platform (TM1)
11. Review or prepare of analytical and reconciliation review questionnaires
12. Oversee and approve special journals balance sheet and control account reconciliations and to resolve discrepancies
13. Design modify oversee implement and report on internal SOX control processes
14. Ensure timely collections from customers including dunning procedures if required
15. Act as supervisor over accounting staff

Main Requirements
* MFG PRO (QAD) SAP MS Office with good Excel skills
* Recognized degree / accounting qualification
* Good background in accounting to include at least 3 years in a similar groupreporting role
