About the Role
The Sales Representative is responsible for managing customer relationships processing orders and promoting the companys full product line. This role includes pricing specialty items with managerial support documenting sales calls and identifying new business opportunities. Occasional inperson visits and overnight travel may be required to maintain and grow client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer accounts through regular communication and proactive service.
- Conduct sales activities via phone and enter orders promptly.
- Communicate production lead times or material availability changes within the same business day.
- Process returns credits and order changes to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Dedicate a portion of weekly activities to prospecting new customers through calls emails and quotes.
- Coordinate and attend trade shows as required.
- Visit clients in person as needed and travel overnight occasionally.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree.
- At least two years of sales experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Publisher.
- Excellent multitasking and selfmanagement abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in distributor sales technical sales or construction sales.
- Background in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of budgeting forecasting and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with ERP software.
- Valid drivers license.
