Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting preferably in Import and Trading and at least 2 years in an Audit firm.
- Familiarity with import costing and stock valuation is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation and financial correspondence.
- Proficiency in ERP systems accounting packages and MS Excel.
- Fluency in English and Sinhala; fluency in Tamil is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Preferably living in close proximity to Colombo.
- Age below 35 years.
Requirements:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Perform import costing and stock valuation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage correspondence with banks and financial institutions.
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable.
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Utilize ERP systems and accounting software for efficient financial management.
- Generate financial reports and forecasts to assist in strategic decisionmaking.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain uptodate records.
- Provide support for budgeting and financial planning activities.
