Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newham to assist with the appointment of a Highway Design Engineer on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 37.30 48.50 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- To arrange for and manage workshops for various stakeholders Architects and designers
- To liaise with external organisations including other boroughs Network Rail TfL departments related to approval of designs.
- To undertake research design and evaluate the cost and value of alternative options and solutions to identified problems
- To organise own workload together with the supervision of other project members to achieve targets set in conjunction with management of the project
- To assist the Site Engineer (SE) on queries related to design on a daytoday basis who will be managing site works and civils contractor.
Qualifications:
- Relevant academic qualifications at degree level or equivalent
- Member of Professional Institution and working towards Chartered Engineer with an appropriate Institution
- Proven highway design skills. This includes full competency on current highway and urban design guidances and practices.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
