Job Description: HVAC Controls Engineer
Location: Central London and surrounding counties
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Engineer with experience in BMS systems such as Trend Delta Honeywell Siemens or Johnson Controls. The successful candidate will join our service team to work on various HVAC systems including Fan Coil Units ensuring their safety efficiency and compliance. We welcome candidates with strong foundation knowledge looking to grow in the controls/BMS industry or experienced professionals in the field.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- Commissioning and setting up AC and ventilation systems using provided software.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in Fan Coil Units.
- Performing risk assessments and implementing safe working practices.
- Maintaining companyprovided tools to ensure their effectiveness.
- Following manufacturerrecommended maintenance guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Developing strong customer relationships and acting as a key link between the customer and the service department.
- Representing the companys values and behaviors onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform commissioning tasks to ensure HVAC equipment is safe and operational.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Build positive relationships with customers promoting a customerfocused approach.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven history of working in the HVAC industry.
- Full and valid Driving License.
- Strong understanding of electrics and controls wiring.
- Diagnostic skills both mechanically and electrically.
- NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in HVAC Electrical or Mechanical industries.
- Accredited controls/BMS qualification.
- Experience with BACnet integration into LAN devices.
- IT literacy and good recordkeeping skills.
- Possession of a CSCS Card.
- Satisfactory DBS Check.
Desirable Criteria:
- 18th Edition certification.
- Strong mechanical building services knowledge.
- IPAF certification.

Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar role within electronics manufacturing or automation. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for system design. Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and embedded systems. Experience with sensors, actuators, and IoT integration. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on troubleshooting complex systems. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
