Job Description
Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location:Karnataka/Willing to shift to Maharashtra after 3 Months
Package:
The offered CTC will be determined based on the candidates experience previous employment history and the current market standards. We value your experience and aim to provide a competitive package that reflects your qualifications and expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Very good understanding of Quality Assurance activities with an overall industry experience of 8 10 years minimum of 5 years experience in the Solar Industry with 2 years experience in mechanical/electrical QA/QC.
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance/Engineering roles.
- Understand contractual and specification requirements and define them under quality specification requirements for Electrical Packages for Solar site erection/commissioning in the form of Quality Assurance Plans/Inspection and Test plans.
- Independently handle Quality activities including predispatch tests/inspections and functional checks of heavy Electrical Items/packages based on schematic general arrangement and logic drawings.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for liaising with suppliers inspection agencies and crossfunctional teams.
- Conduct vendor evaluations/audits and process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain quality documentation and reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering standards including BIS IEC BS IS IEEE etc.
- Exhibit advanced knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems and electrical safety for systems up to 1500VDC and 230KV AC applicable for Photovoltaic and Solar Energy Power Plants/Projects.
- Manage quality control and/or commissioning activities on utilityscale solar facilities including SCADA systems.
- Possess practical knowledge of electrical test equipment and setup as well as interpretation of electrical drawings complicated electrical schemes and logic diagrams.
- Ensure that Quality is incorporated into projects and processes (prevention) rather than simply inspected.
Specifications:
- Should have experience in independently managing Quality Assurance Testing and Inspection of Solar and Electrical equipment.
- Certifications in Quality Assurance or Electrical Equipment Inspection or as an Internal auditor (e.g. ISO 9001/14001/45001) would be desirable.
- Should have successfully managed Quality Assurance actives of 2 or 3 Large MW scale Solar Projects.
Key Competencies:
- Good Knowledge in Quality Inspection and Testing Methodologies
- Has knowledge in overall Electrical Design concepts and specific experience related to Solar systems
- Good in prioritizing tasks and coordination
Education:
- B.E / B Tech / M Tech Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
