Job Title: Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operational Resilience
Department: Risk Management / Business Continuity
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and CIO
Location: London


Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operational Resilience is responsible for ensuring the organization s ability to anticipate prepare for respond to and recover from operational disruptions. This executive role encompasses strategic planning policy development risk assessment and oversight of business continuity crisis management and disaster recovery programs. The SVP will collaborate with leadership across all departments to embed resilience into the organization s culture and operations.


Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the organization s operational resilience framework and strategy.
Establish policies processes and controls to ensure resilience across business operations IT systems supply chains and customer services.
Lead resilience planning aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Risk Management:
Oversee identification and assessment of risks that could disrupt business operations.
Partner with risk management and compliance teams to align resilience initiatives with broader enterprise risk strategies.
Recommend and implement mitigation strategies to address key vulnerabilities.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery:
Lead the development and testing of business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) plans.
Ensure critical business functions are identified prioritized and protected against potential disruptions.
Manage recovery efforts during major incidents including communication and stakeholder coordination.

Crisis Management:
Establish and oversee crisis management protocols including communication plans for internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as a key advisor during crises ensuring effective decisionmaking and recovery execution.
Conduct afteraction reviews and implement lessons learned to enhance preparedness.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with senior leadership to integrate resilience into organizational strategy.
Engage with regulators industry groups and external partners to align resilience practices with emerging trends and requirements.
Foster a culture of resilience through training awareness programs and leadership communication.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational resilience.
Provide regular reports to the board executive team and regulators on resilience performance and improvements.
Maintain documentation to support compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Risk Management Information Technology or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
10 years of experience in operational resilience risk management or related fields with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Technical and Business Acumen:
Deep knowledge of resilience frameworks (e.g. ISO 22301 NIST 80034 FFIEC Resilience Guidelines).
Experience implementing business continuity disaster recovery and crisis management programs.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry trends in operational resilience.

Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:
Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills especially under pressure.

Additional Skills:
Analytical mindset with a focus on datadriven decisionmaking.Experience with resilience technologies and tools such as risk management software and incident response platforms.
Familiarity with cloudbased systems and thirdparty risk management.
