Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a part time (2 days per week) Business Continuity & Resilience Advisor on a 6 month fixed term contract.

The Role

Our central Risk Legal and Clearance teams provide advice on a range of regulatory and compliance issues. Their expertise spans a variety of areas including internal audit data protection conflicts and clearance and AML. The teams lead our thinking on risk management and legal and regulatory compliance. They are central to ensuring that the firm and our people maintain the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance progressing and protecting the crucial interests and reputation of the firm.

Who you will work with

You will work the Senior Business Continuity & Resilience Specialist BC & Resilience Coordinator and a variety of local BC representatives within our global network.

What you will be responsible for

As the Business Continuity & Resilience Advisor you will be responsible for providing crisis management support to the CR&CO and standing in when the Senior BC & Resilience Specialist is not available as well as ensuring all BC & Resilience standards are met alongside the Senior BC &R specialist and stand in when she is not available. You will act as the conduit between the local and global crisis management teams during incidents and lead and facilitate in real time scenario exercises covering a wide range of topics.

What you will do

  • Assisting the Senior BC & Resilience Specialist in all areas of crisis management and business continuity to ensure the BC Standards and Global Crisis Management Protocols are adhered to globally.
  • Stand in when required on all crisis management situations to assist the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer as necessary
  • Give guidance on ISO22301 standard and opportunity to looking to obtain the certificate or at least align to the standard to ensure continuous improvement
  • Working with stakeholders to ensure that to the maximum extent possible we can continue to support our client base of leading international organisations even during a significant incident

Qualifications :

Your experience

Skills:  

  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with senior stakeholders build and maintain relationships as well as influence all members of the Firm in a matrixed organisation.
  • You will have the ability to adapt quickly and take control of unexpected situations.
  • The ability to deliver clear impartial strategic advice and guidance in a consultative manner.
  • Flexible and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesise and summarise complex points in a way that can be easily understood and communicated across all areas of the business.
  • Ability to provide solutions to often complex issues
  • Sound judgement and the ability to manage your workload including prioritising your time.
  • Experience of collaborating with emergency authorities managing partner and supplier relationships and navigating global political cultural and environmental issues.

Experience: 

  • Extensive Business Continuity / Crisis Management & Resilience experience at a senior level.
  • Proven experience of working in an international environment across regions with the ability to apply this experience globally. 

Qualifications:

  • BCI / DRII Certified  or a risk management qualification is desirable.
