You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailBusiness Operations is a key division withinthe NC Department of Information Technology ChiefDeputy (CD) Internal Operations and is responsible for providing IT servicesto state agencies local governments and educational institutions. The group is responsible for Contract andVendor Management Service Administration Internal Compliance and FinancialCloud Operations.
This is a technical position within BusinessOperations that is responsible for enterprise planning primarily with thedirector of business operations. This position provides input and feedback toleadership regarding work standards and processes policy developmentrecurring issues and future needs for enterprise desktop and print services.This position also works with the director of service administration contractand vendor management in the analysis and advisement of updating processes andprocedures within the department. Thisposition will also work closely with the Chief Deputy State Chief InformationOfficer and the Senior Director of Enterprise Operations.
Provide support to Director of BusinessAdministration including but not limited to the areas of budget and ratedevelopment cloud FinOps structure development and contract and vendormanagement.
Provide support to the Chief Deputy State CIOand Senior Director of Enterprise Operations on projects as needed.
Works with Service Administration and ServiceOwners to develop short and longterm budget plans.
Provides support for business analytics dataused for the development and monitoring of budgets and rates for enterpriselevel services provided by DIT.

Provides internal technical support for teamtoolsets.
Works with clients and vendors in developingsolutions for specific needs and ensuring billing methodology is in place andaccurate.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Understanding of financial system budgeting.
Experience with Excel.
Possesses a working knowledge of budgettracking rate development and contract management.
This employee must possess interpersonal skillsto direct staff as needed. The employee will utilize multiple communicationsand collaboration tools to communicate.
Must be able to understand service ratedevelopment fund accounting and contract implications on both.
Demonstrated ability to understand IT financialmanagement cost management and demonstrating the business value of IT.
Must understand the technologies at ahighlevel speak the language of the technology and understand howtechnologies interoperate.
Must be able to participate in technologydiscussions at the architecture layer specifically understanding networkingfirewalls other security components server storage and cloud architecturesincluding understanding of specific software related aspects such as databasemiddleware load testing and application specific details.
Demonstrated ability to understand whattriggers additional or reduced costs in overall capability and be able toexplain to senior level executives.
