Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detailoriented Testing/Data Verification Engineer to ensure the accuracy consistency and quality of our data and systems. The ideal candidate will design and execute testing plans for data pipelines verify data integrity and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues. This role is critical in ensuring data reliability for our products and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for data validation ETL pipelines and software systems.
- Design and execute test cases to validate data consistency completeness and accuracy across various systems and environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers analysts and developers to identify and resolve datarelated issues.
- Automate repetitive data verification processes using scripting and testing frameworks.
- Perform root cause analysis and work with teams to fix data quality issues.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data discrepancies in realtime.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
- Prepare detailed documentation including test cases results and defect reports.
- Conduct performance and scalability testing for data systems.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools techniques and best practices in data verification.
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 25 years of experience in software testing quality assurance or data engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data querying for validation and verification purposes.
- Experience with data validation and testing in ETL pipelines or data warehouses.
- Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python Java Bash) for test automation.
- Handson experience with testing tools such as Selenium Postman JMeter or similar.
- Knowledge of data modeling data transformation and data governance principles.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins Git or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data platforms like Hadoop Spark or cloudbased data systems (AWS Azure GCP).
- Familiarity with tools like Airflow dbt or Talend for data workflows.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Exposure to machine learning workflows or statistical data analysis.
- Certifications in data testing or cloud technologies.
