Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Planner Railways to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. In this role you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive railway plans ensuring efficient operations and infrastructure development.
- Develop and maintain railway timetables considering operational constraints and passenger demand
- Analyse railway capacity and propose solutions to optimise network efficiency
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to plan and coordinate railway infrastructure projects
- Utilise project management software to track progress and manage resources effectively
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on railway planning initiatives and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian railway regulations and safety standards
- Conduct feasibility studies for new railway routes and infrastructure improvements
- Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate planning decisions
- Continuously monitor and evaluate railway performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Contribute to longterm strategic planning for railway network expansion and modernisation
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Transportation Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in railway planning or a related field
- Proficiency in project management software and railway planning and scheduling tools
- Strong skills in data analysis and reporting
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience with railway operations and infrastructure planning
- Indepth understanding of railway systems safety regulations and industry standards
- Expertise in railway capacity analysis and timetabling
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian railway regulations and standards preferred
- Professional certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP) is desirable
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong organisational abilities and efficient time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
