Job Description

Your new role

You will bring your knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) into play as you coordinate statutory EIA and nonstatutory environmental assessment processes required to support major development proposals primarily in the energy sector including wind solar mining hydrogen CCUS transmission and energy storage. To succeed in this role you need to support the Denmark and UK teams with all aspects of the impact assessments. You have a good understanding of the EIA process and relevant regulations and you will have the opportunity to support projects at various stages in the project lifecycle from earlystage feasibility/risk appraisal through EIA to consent condition compliance. A structured inhouse training and development program will provide this knowledge and help personal career development.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Denmark and UK teams with all aspects of Impact assessment.
  • Identify review and summarize relevant data.
  • Identify data gaps and plan data collection.
  • Support with preparing reports in English.
  • Support with applications for environmental permits.
  • Advisory skills in relation to preparing materials for stakeholder meetings and public consultations and participation in public consultation.
  • Demonstrating ability to present complex technical concepts effectively both orally and in writing so clients regulatory agencies and legal groups can easily comprehend them.
  • Manage whole or parts of projects.

Your new team

You will be part of our Impact Assessment team in India which forms part of our Global Impact Assessment Organization. The Global Organization has been established to drive further growth in Impact Assessment building on our existing successes through a continued focus on key clients and highquality impact assessment work. 


Qualifications :

About you

These include:

  • Masters degree in environmental sciences earth sciences Environmental Engineering or a related environmental discipline
  • 5 to 10 years of experience on projects experience in the energy sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Measurable work experience with Impact Assessments either in industry or consultancy.
  • Familiarity with Impact Assessment procedures and other relevant Environmental permitting procedures (e.g. IPPC authorizations landscape authorizations VinCA offshore permitting)
  • Experience with adopting and applying national and international environmental regulations.
  • Ideally proficient user of ArcGIS experience with field work and data analysis.
  • Capable of producing clear concise and correct written documents in English
  • Capable of fluent verbal communication in English
  • Highly organized able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines on designated tasks.
  • Demonstrate attention to details high level of accuracy academic rigor.
  • Selfmotivated reliable and dedicated individual.
