Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository) and PMR (Promotion Management for Retail) Consultant with expertise in system upgrades and retail solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP CAR/PMR modules experience in implementing and optimizing these solutions and proficiency in managing system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design and Implementation
- Support the implementation of SAP CAR modules including POS Data Transfer and Audit Unified Demand Forecast and Multichannel Sales.
- Configure and integrate SAP PMR for promotions pricing and markdown management in retail environments.
2. Business Process Analysis
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Align SAP solutions with business objectives and provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
3. System Optimization
- Analyze system performance postupgrade and implement enhancements for improved functionality.
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP CAR/PMR with other SAP modules such as SAP Retail SAP ERP SAP S/4HANA and thirdparty applications.
4. CAR/PMR System Upgrade Management
- Support SAP CAR and PMR upgrade projects ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Conduct system impact analyses and recommend mitigation strategies during the upgrade process.
- Design test and deploy new system functionalities introduced during upgrades.
5. Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide ongoing technical support for SAP CAR/PMR systems promptly addressing and resolving issues.
- Develop and execute test cases for new system features and updates to ensure optimal performance.
6. Training and Documentation
- Document upgrade processes configurations and troubleshooting guidelines for future reference.
- Train endusers and technical teams on upgraded systems and newly implemented functionalities.
Qualifications and Skills
- 68 years of experience as an SAP CAR/PMR Consultant with a focus on retail environments.
- Handson experience with SAP CAR modules and their implementation (e.g. POS Data Transfer and Audit Unified Demand Forecast).
- Expertise in configuring and integrating SAP PMR for promotions and pricing management.
- Experience with system upgrades and impact analysis is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ecosystem including integration with SAP Retail ERP and S/4HANA.
- Proven ability to analyze business processes and align them with SAP solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with business teams technical teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and providing user training.
