Job Description

Senior Care Practitioner Days. Priesty Fields Care Home

  • £13.75 per hour
  • Fulltime 33 hours per week on a rolling rota including some weekend working
  • Shifts: 8am – 8pm

At Priesty Fields we are passionate about delivering compassionate personcentered care that empowers residents to retain independence and enjoy meaningful lives. Our services include residential nursing respite and professional care tailored to individual needs.

As a Senior Care Practitioner working days your responsibilities may include:

  • Completing and maintaining required training.
  • Supporting residents with personal care hygiene meals and engaging in daily activities.
  • Providing emotional support and fostering companionship.
  • Enabling residents to live enriched and fulfilled lives based on their unique interests preferences and abilities.
  • Ensuring the care home environment meets high standards.
  • Administering and managing medications in line with regulatory standards and the care plan of each resident.
  • Monitoring and recording medication administration addressing any issues or side effects and ensuring compliance with medication policies.
  • Ordering receiving and safely storing medications ensuring accurate stock levels and documentation.
  • Performing seniorlevel duties such as staff supervision appraisals recordkeeping liaising with external professionals and assisting with recruitment activities.

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting – essential.
  • Experience in administering and managing medications – essential.
  • A warm positive personality with a compassionate approach.
  • Confidence in recordkeeping and familiarity with various technologies.
  • The ability to remain calm and guide colleagues during challenging situations.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts in line with residents' needs.
