Job Description
- Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with school and state standards to support ELL students language development.
- Provide targeted support through individualized and smallgroup instruction.
- Partner with classroom teachers to integrate language development strategies across subject areas.
- Build a welcoming and inclusive classroom that encourages student participation and growth.
- Establish clear behavior expectations to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
- Continuously assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet evolving needs.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement is required.
- Demonstrated experience as an ESL Teacher or in a similar role.
- Background working with students from diverse linguistic and cultural communities.
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited institution is required; a Master s degree in TESOL or a related field is a plus.
