Job Description
- Create a welcoming inclusive classroom where students feel safe and empowered to learn.
- Establish and maintain behavioral guidelines that promote a productive learning atmosphere.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate English language support across all subjects.
- Assess student development regularly and adjust instruction to ensure continuous language improvement.
- Design and deliver lessons aligned with school and state standards to support ELL students in their language acquisition.
- Provide personalized lessons to meet the specific needs of English Language Learner (ELL) students in oneonone and small group settings.
Requirements
- Must hold an Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement
- Proven experience as an ESL Teacher or relevant role
- Experience working with students of diverse language backgrounds
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited university is required. A Master s degree in TESOL or a related field is a plus
