Job Description
- Prepare and implement instructional plans for English Language Learners (ELL) in alignment with school and state requirements
- Provide individualized and smallgroup instruction to meet the needs of diverse ELL students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support English language development across content areas
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Implement standards for student behavior to ensure a safe secure and effective learning environment
- Regularly assess student progress and modify instructional strategies to support ongoing language development
Requirements
- Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement.
- Prior experience as an ESL Teacher or in a related teaching role.
- Previous experience working with students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited institution is required; A Master s degree in TESOL or a related field is highly preferred.
