Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced WAN Support Engineer to join our network operations team. This role requires a candidate with a solid background in network troubleshooting and operations focusing on routing and switching particularly BGP. The ideal candidate will have 57 years of handson experience preferably with a CCNA certification and the ability to manage shift operations and vendor interactions for our global WAN infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the global WAN operations to ensure consistent and highperformance network connectivity.
- Perform advanced network troubleshooting focusing on routing protocols like BGP to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Handle shift operations efficiently to maintain a 24/7 support model ensuring seamless network performance and incident response.
- Act as the primary point of contact for WAN escalation resolving highpriority issues with minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to manage and resolve connectivity issues ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to identify potential issues proactively and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents resolutions and standard operating procedures to aid in continuous improvement.
- PCollaborate with the team to optimize network operations and enhance troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Computer Science Information Technology or related field preferred).
- 57 years of experience in network troubleshooting and operations.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching with specific experience in BGP routing protocol.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- CCNA certification is required.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle highpressure situations and make quick decisions.
- Strong leadership skills for shift management and vendor coordination.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 support model including night shifts and weekends as required.

- Able to work independently, remotely from home and on company premises in Bangalore - Fluent in Spoken and Written English - Able to work EMEA & APAC office hours - Intermediate IT skills. - 2+ years experience working in an IT environment - Asset management experience. - Windows & MacOS operating system experience. - Knowledge of the ITIL reference model is preferable.
