Job Description
SEN Behaviour Mentor GOOD School inBromley
A school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated SEN Behaviour Mentor to support students with challenging behaviour. This is a key role in helping to create a positive learning environment and providing guidance to improve students social and emotional skills.
Position: SEN Behaviour Mentor
Type: Fulltime Permanent
Location: Bromley London

Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with challenging behaviour helping them manage their emotions and behaviour in a positive way.
- Assist students in developing social skills and improving their selfregulation in various school settings.
- Work closely with the SENCO and teachers to implement behaviour management strategies and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment by promoting positive behaviour and conflict resolution.
- Monitor student progress and behaviour providing feedback to the teaching team and parents on improvements and areas for development.
- Work with external agencies when necessary to provide additional support for students with behavioural needs.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to students encouraging personal growth and resilience.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working with students who display challenging behaviour ideally in a school or care setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- A calm empathetic and patient approach to working with students who require additional support.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students staff and parents.
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support or behaviour management are desirable.
- A DBS check is required.
