Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detailoriented Experienced Procurement Specialist  to join our team in procuring water/wastewater treatment equipment. This role is critical in supporting our clients needs relating to large capital projects.  The ideal candidate will be experienced in procurement implementation/coordination supplier relationship management legal and commercial negotiation and coordinating closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Interaction and Management:

  • Engage with vendors throughout the negotiation process driving agreements to close.
  • Meet requirements for completeness competitiveness compliance quality costeffectiveness and alignment stakeholder standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider project teams including the Owner Engineers Legal etc.

Contract Preparation and Legal Coordination:

  • Negotiate contracts for selected vendors and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.

Industry Knowledge and Pricing Trends:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends to ensure accurate pricing and effective vendor management.
  • Leverage market insights to optimize procurement and support costefficiency goals.

 


    Qualifications :

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline: engineering finance business or related field.
    • Eight plus years of procurement related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Knowledge of procurement best practices.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with large infrastructure capital project delivery is an asset.
    • Experience with municipal government clients is an asset.
    • Proven experience in procurement with a strong understanding of procurement strategy vendor management and contract negotiation.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CPSM CPIM or equivalent) is an asset.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel Power BI etc.).
    • Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment equipment and related industry standards is an asset.
    • Ability to travel as needed.
