The Lead Cashier reflects the mission vision and values of NM adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program and complies with all relevant policies procedures guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Completes daily safe audits and cash deposits.
- Checks cafeteria for proper stock temperature logs completed coolers at appropriate temperature stations correctly set up and correct signage posted stations are broken down and cleaned appropriately after service and cleanliness/proper hygiene on display.
- Stocks supplies in an organized manner rotates stock according to first in first out method.
- Takes food temperatures and acts upon any item out of appropriate range. Checks and records refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily.
- Follows steps outlined in procedure when temperature is out of range documents actions and resolutions.
- Follows and provides peer coaching on established regulations policy and procedures for infection control and isolation guidelines and uses standard precautions when preparing and holding foods.
- Familiar with and can support all caf positions and cover their breaks. (This would include cashiering serving food stocking and barista duties at Starbucks)
- Follows up with customers to assure satisfaction.
- Maintains cleanliness of cafe serving and seating areas coolers and microwaves.
- Capable of making critical decisions and providing coaching.
- Discusses with Chef/Sous Chef/Caf Manager and discards any expired items in cafe.
- Covers manager duties in absence of caf manager.
Qualifications :
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in any of the following: customer service food service or retail.
- Excellent customer service skills
Preferred:
- 2 years of previous supervisory experience
- Previous cashiering cash handling and retail coffee experience
- Safe Food Handling Certification
