Mission
We are looking for a Building Electrical Engineer in the Atlantic area. As a key player in building electrical projects the Engineer will contribute to the design of plans and models perform surveys and assist the engineering team in the realization of projects in the commercial industrial institutional and hospital sectors. They will work in a dynamic environment as part of a team of engineers technicians and drafters on challenging projects. This person will evolve within a passionate team in a context where initiative and trust are strongly encouraged.
Main responsibilities
- Participate in the electrical design of the building such as electrical distribution lighting including AGI32 calculation fire alarm etc.
- Perform field surveys and layouts
- Produce plans and models using AutoCAD and REVIT software
- Ensure compliance with norms and standards for plans and models
- Conduct site visits and participate in certain stages of work supervision
- Perform calculations and equipment searches under the supervision of the project engineer.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- To be entittled as Professional Engineer by is the licensing and regulatory body (ex: Engineers Nova Scotia PEO etc.);
- Knowledge of building electrical codes and regulations
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
- Good command of Revit and AutoCAD software
- Proficiency in French (both oral and written)
- Knowledge of AGI 32 lighting calculation software (an asset)
- ASP Construction card (an asset)
- Valid Drivers license.
