Job Description
We are presently recruiting for an Associate to join the Finance Business Partner team in the Management Analytics (MA) group within the Finance department. MA provides financial information and insights on performance cost and exposures to enable management decisionmaking at both the department and total Fund levels through the Finance Business Partners.
The candidate will perform a key supporting role to the various nonInvestment departments providing input to drive fit for purpose reporting analytics and insights across cost and exposure. The candidate will require knowledge of financial and investment analysis concepts combined with strong analytical and effective communication skills.
RoleSpecific Accountabilities:
- Work in a team to produce analysis to communicate the story behind the numbers to Senior Management.
- Develop compelling materials to facilitate discussions including creatively conveying data and analysis with charts tables and other visuals in preread and presentation material.
- Provide support and direction during the annual business planning process in developing an annual and longrange budget to support the departments in execution of their strategy and ensuring alignment with expectations (in the form of budgets and business objectives) prior to the start of the fiscal year.
- Coordinate within and across departments to ensure accuracy completeness and relevancy of information supporting financial reporting and analysis.
- Support and work on new data and analytics initiatives to enhance information flows and provide insightful recommendations to internal business partners and Senior Management.
- Partner with Finance colleagues to develop selfserve capabilities and multidimensional reporting/dashboards to adapt the evolving analytics needs of the departments and the Fund.
- Develop and foster effective working relationships within Finance and across departments at CPP Investments; collaborate with key subject matter experts to drive financial analysis reporting and communications.
- Address adhoc business requests to facilitate Board discussions support evaluations of investment programs and strategies and identify drivers of valueadd.
Qualifications :
If you possess the following wed like to hear from you:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in financial analysis within financial services or consulting.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance Accounting or related discipline; professional designations (CFA CPA CIPM) are considered assets.
- Proven experience in SQL Python Tableau and/or Power BI is considered an asset.
- Strong presentation skills with experience building compelling presentation decks in MS PowerPoint.
- Highly organized attention to detail and the ability to produce highquality work under pressure and with timesensitive deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate between multiple stakeholders and effectively project manage deliverables.
- Selfmotivated able to think critically and creatively adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as to perform effectively in a teamoriented environment.
- Candidates must exemplify CPP Investments guiding principles of high performance integrity and partnership.
