Job Description

Seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer Intern with a strong foundation in mechanical and electronic principles. The ideal candidate should have handson experience with various tools proficiency in SolidWorks and excellent communication skills. This internship offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to realworld manufacturing processes collaborate with crossfunctional teams and contribute to innovative projects.

The successful applicant will possess a keen eye for detail problemsolving abilities and the capacity to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Join our dynamic team and gain valuable industry experience in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.

What your day might look like: 

A day in the life of our Manufacturing Engineer Intern is diverse and handson. Youll start by learning how to assemble test our instruments and then well review a list of projects available to find the right fit. Throughout the day you might find yourself:

  • Assisting or leading in the design and modification of product components and full mechanical/electric assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production floor
  • Using various tools to prototype or test new designs/fixtures
  • Documenting and reviewing processes (work instructions etc.)
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions for product/testing improvements
  • Shadowing experienced engineers to learn about different aspects of manufacturing and/or help as needed

Your day will be a balance of computerbased work handson tasks and interpersonal communication providing a wellrounded learning experience in the manufacturing field


Qualifications :

Our ideal candidate is a proactive and enthusiastic individual pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. This person should possess:

  • Strong academic background with coursework in mechanical design electronics and manufacturing processes
  • Handson experience with various tools and basic machining equipment
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Basic understanding of mechanical electrical systems and components
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

The right candidate will be passionate about manufacturing eager to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and ready to contribute fresh ideas to our team. They should be comfortable in a fastpaced environment and excited about the opportunity to gain handson experience in various aspects of manufacturing engineering.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field
  • Ability to commit to a fulltime internship for the duration of the program (e.g. 24 months)
  • Willingness to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Handson experience with common tools and basic machining equipment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical electrical systems and components
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with data analysis and report writing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and processes

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for manufacturing a strong work ethic and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.


Additional Information :

Pay range: $20.70$23.50/hour
