Role Description:
- Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with other service providers.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet IEP goals.
- Create a structured safe and nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning and independence.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for early childhood students with special needs.
- Provide instruction in both individual and group settings to meet the developmental needs of children ages 35.
- Collaborate with families paraprofessionals therapists and other educators to support each child s goals and progress.
- Use playbased learning and developmentally appropriate practices to support social emotional cognitive and physical growth.
Requirements
Applicants should possess a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a related discipline along with a valid state teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education. A solid understanding of early childhood development and expertise in applying behavior management techniques are essential for success in this role. While prior experience supporting preschoolaged children with disabilities is highly preferred it is not mandatory. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with families and team members are key to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
