Job Description
Salary Range: $69500 to $83200 yearly salary
Direct the pickup and transportation of fryers which include:
- Meeting with the crew at the beginning of the shift and assigning duties.
- Monitoring animal welfare practices and procedures.
- Making decisions on how many birds per crew.
- Checking on crews while at the ranches and assuring all is going well.
- Correcting any problems necessary.
- Coordinating shipping schedules with all affected plant forepersons.
- Hiring and firing employees.
- Establish and enforce company and department safety and production standards.
- Provide necessary training for crew.
- Work with other departments as needed for overall division planning and proper
- record keeping of employees to include documentation of all disciplinary actions.
- Supervise the training of truck and other drivers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Have a minimum of 12 year of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of poultry transportation preferred but not required.
- Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced work environment.
- Ability to work in extreme cold/hot dusty environment.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must have the ability to make decisions while under pressure.
- Must have and maintain an acceptable DMV driving record.
- Ability to follow and enforce all company rules policies and procedures.
- Ability to work various shifts including extended hours nights weekends and holidays.
- Ability to meet production standards and deadlines.
- Attend meetings and miscellaneous training sessions.
