Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor for a manufacturing facility in Ripon WI. As the Production Group Leader you will take the lead in supporting team members within a designated area or zone. Your role will involve effectively coordinating daily activities to meet production targets and driving the success of your team.


This is an onsite position and relocation assistance is available on a casebycase basis subject to company approval.

Shift: MonThurs 2:30 p.m. 1 a.m. with the possibility of overtime on Fridays.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging all team members to contribute to ongoing enhancements in processes actively and performance.
  • Empower each team member to take ownership of their role in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Consistently demonstrate respect for all team members in every discussion interaction and decision aligning with the organizations core values.
  • Cultivate a mindset focused on eliminating waste and developing team member skills to enhance lean operations and overall efficiency.
  • Ensure employees receive proper training from their Team Leader or other designated trainers in key areas including safety quality equipment operation and 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to ensure seamless support for operations and address any technical needs.
  • Establish annual goals and objectives that align with the achievement of operating metrics driving both team and company success.
  • Continuously work to improve processes reduce inventories and decrease workinprogress to enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for team members regarding employee relations concerns and support conflict resolution when needed.
  • Interface with Union Stewards to address contractrelated matters and handle disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational success.


Requirements


Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • BS degree in Business Manufacturing or Operations is preferred.

Qualifications:
  • 13 years of experience in a medium/high volume fastpaced manufacturing environment. Previous professional internship or coop experience will be considered as relevant experience.
  • Experience with mechanical and hydraulic press operations as well as a basic understanding of die setup and maintenance would be beneficial.
  • Must be selfdriven and ambitious with proven leadership capabilities including providing coaching mentoring and supervision within a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel).
  • Previous Assembly line supervision experience is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of process control production scheduling Kaizen Kanban and Lean manufacturing is preferred.
