Job Description

Position: Senior Windows Systems Engineer
Location: Porto Portugal (Hybrid Role)
Language Requirement: Proficiency in both Portuguese and English (B2 level minimum)

Mission Context

As a Senior Windows Systems Engineer you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing IT systems and services for the organization. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams develop and enforce IT policies and ensure the highest level of system performance and availability. Your responsibilities will range from diagnosing and resolving technical issues to designing robust solutions based on business needs. A strong focus on continuous improvement incident management and technical support is key to this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Collaboration: Actively engage in team discussions to address operational and projectrelated topics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work to improve IT systems continuously ensuring high availability and performance for business operations.
  • Policy Definition: Develop and enforce corporate policies to standardise systems and ensure information security across the organization.
  • Incident Management: Effectively manage IT incidents coordinating with suppliers and stakeholders for resolution.
  • Technical Solution Design: Design and implement technical solutions in line with business requirements.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Enhance the teams expertise by improving the use of existing tools and fostering internal knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced technical and functional support for user and system issues.


Requirements

Core Technical Skills and Experience

  • Active Directory: Advanced knowledge in managing and administering Active Directory including user/group management GPOs and policies.
  • PowerShell Scripting: Proficient in developing and automating tasks through PowerShell scripting.
  • Office365 Administration: Expertise in administering Office365 services including Azure Exchange Online (Hybrid) SharePoint and Teams.
  • M365 Security: Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security features and the Microsoft security portal.
  • Microsoft Roles: Familiarity with key Microsoft services such as print servers file sharing and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Azure Cloud: Knowledge of Azure cloud services including provisioning and management of resources.
  • Iron port (Desirable): Experience with Cisco Iron port messaging technology is a plus.
  • Citrix (Desirable): Familiarity with Citrix environments and technologies is advantageous.
  • Windows Systems Troubleshooting: Expert troubleshooting skills for Windows servers desktops and applications.
  • Technical Support: Provide highlevel support to endusers and IT teams ensuring quick resolution of technical issues.

Additional Requirements

  • Language Skills: B2 level in English (official working language of the group).
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in environments with shifting priorities.
  • Availability: Willingness to work beyond regular hours for production environment changes.
  • Travel: Availability for travel across Europe with potential for extended trips up to a month.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of interacting with both technical and business teams.
  • Collaboration: A strong team player with the ability to work crossfunctionally.
  • ProblemSolving: Outstanding problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Persuasion & Influence: Ability to influence decisions and persuade stakeholders.

Required Experience & Competencies

  • System Administration: Expert level.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Confirmed expertise in resolving technical issues.
  • SharePoint & Microsoft Exchange: Solid experience with Microsoft technologies.
