- Delivers delegated elements of an annual business plan to time and budget.
- Manages and facilitates external certification audits.
- Provides expertise and guidance in supporting achievement of new certifications where appropriate.
- Responsible for organising and facilitating internal audits in the audit programme.
- Accountable for leading audits and producing audit reports.
- Utilises comprehensive expertise and investigates and interprets root cause analysis of instances of non-conformance, including recommending corrective measures and long-term preventative measures.
- Coordinates reviewing of management system content for appropriateness, improvement, and implementation.
- Contributes to the identification of new systems and processes to drive efficiency, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Ensures information for quality reports is available, accurate and delivered within agreed timescales.
- Accountable for the production of communication articles, plans and communication collateral.
- Coordinates activities reported in management reviews, collating, analysing, and presenting data and key metrics, analyses trends and provides recommendations and guidance.
- Provides recommendations for action to mitigate risk and improve management system effectiveness.
- Provides specialised expertise and knowledge to support on business development activities.
- Accountable for the development and delivery of training.
- Manages and monitors performance of a supply chain, including support to suppliers as appropriate through training, guidance, and audits of their QMS capabilities.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

Desired candidate profile
- Quality Management Systems (QMS): In-depth knowledge and experience in implementing and managing QMS, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or other relevant standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Expertise in leading continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen, with a strong focus on reducing waste, improving quality, and enhancing productivity.
- Process Optimization: Ability to analyze current processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements that ensure high-quality output while reducing costs and cycle times.
- Root Cause Analysis: Strong skills in identifying, analyzing, and addressing the root causes of quality issues using tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
- Quality Audits: Experience conducting internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, and leading corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Risk Management: Expertise in identifying quality-related risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure that the final products or services meet the required standards and customer expectations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific quality regulations and standards, including FDA, CE marking, and other regulatory frameworks (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)).
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to assess quality performance, track KPIs, and provide insights to management regarding quality trends and areas for improvement.
- Change Management: Ability to manage change within the quality management system and ensure smooth transitions when implementing new processes or standards.
- Supplier Quality Management: Experience in managing supplier quality, including evaluating suppliers, conducting audits, and ensuring that external products meet quality requirements.
- Training and Development: Skilled in developing and delivering training programs to ensure that team members and stakeholders are informed of quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and management abilities to lead cross-functional teams, drive quality improvement initiatives, and ensure that organizational quality objectives are met.
