International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Medical Technologist to perform complex laboratory tests and analysis to assist in the diagnosis treatment and prevention of diseases ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. They utilize advanced laboratory techniques and equipment to provide critical data for patient care and medical decisionmaking.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Operate calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Analyse biological samples including blood urine and tissue using advanced laboratory techniques.
- Interpret test results and provide detailed reports to healthcare providers for clinical decisionmaking.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests procedures and results.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identify and resolve technical issues with laboratory equipment or testing procedures.
- Work closely with other laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in laboratory science and technology through ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Certification or licensure as a medical technologist obtained through a nationally recognized accrediting agency or state licensing body is a good indication that the quality of experience is acceptable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Education Required:
- A bachelors or graduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university including courses in biological science chemistry and mathematics and successful completion of a medical laboratory scientist/clinical laboratory science test program accredited by the national accrediting agency for clinical laboratory sciences an (NAACLS) or a crediting body recognized by the US Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained or
- A full 4year course of study that included 12 months in a college or hospital based medical technology program or medical technology school approved by a recognized accrediting organization. The professional medical technology curriculum must have consisted of a oneyear post bachelor certificate or the last one to two years of a fouryear program culminating a bachelors and a medical technology or
- A bachelors or graduate higherlevel degree from an accredited college/university including 16 semester hours a biological science 16 semester hours of chemistry and 1 semester of mathematics and five years of fulltime acceptable clinical laboratory experience in blood banking chemistry hematology microbiology and immunology.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
Compensation Min: $24hr Max: $40hr
