Job Description




AnMed is seeking a fellowshiptrained Hematologist/Oncologist for their Cancer Center in Anderson SC. Located along South Carolina s National Heritage Corridor the greater Anderson area is a fastgrowing and diverse county of about 185000 residents.

Job Description:
  • Candidates can be BE or BC but BC is HIGHLY PREFERRED based on the complexity of the practice and the first physician will onsite alone a majority of the time.
  • Fulltime position covering outpatient clinic (very few) hospital rounds
  • MondayFriday 8:00 am5:00 pm with slight variations possible (32 minimum patient contact hours) On call
  • Cover practice call and inpatient for Oncology patients (no weekends)
  • Practice is in a phase of rebuilding
  • Desired start date: ASAP
  • Approximately 1200 new cancer cases per year
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day: 1525
  • Facilitys Trauma Level/Designation: Trauma Level 2
  • Stateoftheart Cancer Center with Commission on Cancer Accreditation since 1984
  • Onsite Radiation Oncology department
  • Robust Oncology supportive services
  • 24bay outpatient Oncology infusion department with onsite pharmacist
  • Onsite laboratory services
  • Epic EMR
  • Access to nationwide clinical trials through our UCNCORP
  • Supportive leadership and collegial medical staff

  • This is a permanent fulltime position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: BR00000BR000 annually depending upon training and experience. To be discussed at interview.

Requirement description :

  • TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology REQUIRED (Board Certified is highly preferred)
  • SC License (or willing to obtain) REQUIRED
  • Completed fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpractice & License History REQUIRED
  • Does the provider require visa support J1 or H1B (note in Additional Submission Details field) REQUIRED
