Job Description
HM Note: This hybrid role is three (3) days in office
Responsibilities: and nbsp;
Client is looking for a technology architect to Develop recommend implement and manage the technical architecture (hardware software database and communications) which will be used for all or specific applications in a large distributed crossplatform environment. and nbsp;
Responsibilities also include the identification of relevant information and the determination of the environment which will be used for development. and nbsp;
General Skills: and nbsp;
Leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical architectures at the specified experience level and nbsp;
Extensive experience with at least three different platforms operating systems environments database technologies and communications protocols and nbsp;
Experience with middleware and gateways and nbsp;
Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments and nbsp;
Experience in structured methodologies for the design development and implementation of applications and nbsp;
Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments and nbsp;
Knowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL and is able to guide others using this methodology and nbsp;
Experience translating business requirements into reporting needs and nbsp;
Experience preparing conceptual logical and/or physical processes and data models and nbsp;
Experience developing recommending implementing and managing technical architecture and nbsp;
Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and other software tools such as project management tools and nbsp;
Awareness of emerging technologies trends and directions and nbsp;
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills and nbsp;
A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and nbsp;
Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) and nbsp;
Desirable Skills: and nbsp;
Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practice and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Content Management (Open Text ECM applications) and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices
Skills
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of P25 radio technology acquired through a minimum of eight (8) years of design and/or support preferably in a Motorola environment
- Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory position managing and/or administering a P25 radio network
- Handson experience with voice and nbsp;and data encryption equipment such as KMF KMF workstation and KVL
- Handson experience using Motorola and nbsp;ZoneWatch the Provisioning Manager software(PM) and Unified Event Manager (UEM) or equivalent
- Proficiency in producing various report as they related to the LRC use of the LMRN
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated organizational interpersonal and people skills
- Ability to produce clear succinct and fact based recommendations and proposals
- Demonstrated knowledge of people skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize schedule delegate and review the work of subordinates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships as necessitated by the work
- Able to obtain OPP Level 4 Security Clearance

IT Public Sector Experience 5
and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp;Experience in the design and implementation of large telecommunication networks both IP and Public Safety Radio within public sector environments
Must haves:
- 10 years of experience as Technology Architect
- Subject Matter Expert in all facets of and nbsp;Encryption related to Public Safety (most important Recent experiences required)
- Experience with IT Infrastructure modernization and maintenance focused projects
- Extensive experience with and nbsp;IP Networks Telephony and Satellite systems
and nbsp;
