Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of and drive the implementation of health and wellbeing (H&W) policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards.
  • Responsible for execution of group-wide delivery plans, programmes and projects ensuring delivery to planned time and budget.
  • Provides support and guidance to the operational business to enable local delivery.
  • Collaborates with HR and (health safety and wellbeing) HSW functions to enable them to support their clients across all groups and geographies.
  • Remains up to date with the latest thinking and research relating to organisational health and wellbeing.
  • Analyses data outputs from surveys, audits, key performance indicators (KPI’s) and other data sources and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manages relationships and performance of suppliers ensuring contractual arrangements are delivered to quality, time and budget.
  • Work with senior leaders, HSW and HR stakeholders to deliver cost effective and efficient H&W performance.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvements.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.

Desired candidate profile

Compliance and Health Regulations

  • Legal Compliance: Ensure that all health and wellbeing programs are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to health and safety, privacy, and employee welfare.
  • Health Standards: Ensure that the programs comply with health standards, ethical guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Wellbeing Monitoring: Regularly monitor and assess the effectiveness of wellbeing programs, making adjustments to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and compliant.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  1. Health and Wellbeing Expertise:

    • In-depth knowledge of health and wellness practices, including physical health, mental health, nutrition, fitness, and stress management.
    • Understanding of health promotion strategies and their application in a workplace or community setting.
  2. Leadership and Management:

    • Strong leadership skills to manage and inspire a team, as well as to build relationships across departments and with external partners.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategies, ensuring the effective delivery of health and wellbeing initiatives.
  3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills to educate and motivate employees, communicate program details, and address concerns.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and provide support to individuals in need of wellbeing assistance.
  4. Project and Program Management:

    • Proven experience in managing health and wellness programs from inception to execution.
    • Strong organizational skills to plan, budget, and oversee multiple wellness initiatives.
  5. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analytical skills to evaluate the success of wellness programs through data collection and analysis, and the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
    • Experience with tracking and measuring health outcomes, KPIs, and program effectiveness.
  6. Confidentiality and Sensitivity:

    • Ability to handle sensitive health-related information confidentially and with empathy.
    • Experience providing support for mental health issues and creating a safe, non-judgmental environment.
  7. Cultural Competence:

    • Ability to work with diverse populations and consider the varying needs of different groups when developing wellbeing initiatives.
    • Understanding of how cultural, social, and environmental factors impact health and wellbeing.
