Test Engineer Bespoke Machinery
32 33k Regular Overtime paid at Enhanced Rates

5D Recruitment is proud to be working exclusively and in partnership with a leading engineering company based in the heart of the home counties. Employing nearly 50 people they design manufacture assemble test and ship bespoke machinery from their new worldclass facility.
They are market leaders in the concept design and manufacture of fully automated high precision bespoke machines which are used to complete complex functions required to guarantee the quality of the product. Working across a variety of industries their main markets include the medical and scientific sectors.
They have longstanding agreements with some of the most renowned manufacturers in their sector with a growing order book and an excellent pipeline the future is looking exciting.
This opportunity has arisen due to growth and we are looking to recruit multiple mechanical fitters / machine builders to meet the requirements of their new and existing customers and projects.
Requirements
What the Role Will Involve:
- Testing a variety of bespoke machines before they are shipped to the client.
- Working through a testing SOP including power up functionality and different control processes.
- Faultfinding during the testing process this could be mechanically electrically or with the control software (PLC) & HMI s.
- Signing off the machines after test in preparation of them being shipped directly to the client or to the service team for installation on the clients site.
- Opportunity for some travel to install and demonstrate the machines to customers.
What we are Looking for in a Candidate:
- Timeserved electrical engineering background. Ideally with a formal qualification e.g C&G / NVQ / ONC although not essential.
- Some test experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of working with bespoke machinery and assemblies either building or maintaining them.
- Can read engineering drawings.
