Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Founding Engineer (Unix/Linux) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic and HandsOn: Seamlessly navigate between highlevel strategy and detailed execution taking full ownership of projects without ever saying "Thats not my job."
- HandsOn Development: Contribute directly to the codebase developing and deploying features and solutions.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate on product strategy roadmap planning and architecture design.
- Process Improvement: Implement engineering best practices and processes to increase efficiency and quality.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with product design and operations teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Recuiting: Recruit and lead a highperforming engineering team as the company scales.
- GoGetter Attitude: Take initiative to identify and solve problems with little guidance driving immediate impact.
- Customer Focus: Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure the product meets and exceeds their expectations.
Requirements
- 5 years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms data structures networking and system design.
- Proven experience building and scaling highly scalable cloudnative solutions.
- Experience leading engineering teams and driving technical strategy.
- Practitioner of DevOps principles.
- Familiarity with microservice architectures.
- Proficiency with public cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Go (Golang).
- Proficient in Unix/Linux environments.
- Deep experience with AWS managed services (e.g. DynamoDB SQS Lambda).
- Prior startup experience.
