TASK FORCE: Information Systems
JOB TITLE: One (1) Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist
CONTROL CODE: OTH2403
SUMMARY:
The Mayors Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City governments chief financial agency. OMBs staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayors expense and capital budgets which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.
Within OMB the Information Systems Task Force supports the agencys staff by providing the infrastructure and applications necessary for budget preparation and analysis.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Administer maintain and manage the companys IT infrastructure including servers networks and storage systems.
Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure strategies and solutions with a focus on Azure ensuring scalability reliability and security.
Administer the Microsoft 365 GCC tenant to manage communication and collaboration tools.
Conduct regular system monitoring performance optimization and security assessments to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and coordinate with vendors for technical support when needed.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support IT projects and initiatives.
Manage data backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
Participate in disaster recovery planning testing and execution.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and guidance to other IT team members and stakeholders.
Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our IT infrastructure and cloud services.
Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and cloud environments specifically Windows and Azure.
Strong knowledge of networking principles firewalls and security protocols.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware Azure VM Nerdio).
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell Azure CLI etc.).
Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Administrator are advantageous.
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist to manage and optimize our agencys IT infrastructure and cloud services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both onpremises and cloud environments with a strong understanding of networking storage and virtualization technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Supervising Analyst ($95208): Bachelors degree and a minimum of four years of fulltime experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or a related field; or an awarded Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Information Technology with two years of relevant experience.
Unit Head ($117935): Bachelors degree and a minimum of four years of fulltime experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or a related field; or an awarded Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology and two years of experience.
Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
