The Services Technical Manager is a senior leader within the NSI UK business accountable for theoverall execution and growth of the Technical Services offering. Managing a diverse and remoteteam they are responsible for meeting HSE financial operational and growth KPIs set by thebusiness.
The Services Technical Manager is responsible for the UK consulting services offered through ourFlood Risk & Drainage and Scientific Services teams as well as any process improvement plans oroptimisation projects for existing water and wastewater treatment plants across the industrial andmunicipal industries. The Services Technical Manager will work closely with the O&M TechnicalManager and Service & Upgrades Manager.
Job Description:
Demonstrate and promote safety leadership in all aspects of the Companys business
Uphold company policies and procedures legislative requirements and acts as a role modelfor the Companys values and behaviours.
Lead coordinate motivate and develop the respective teams to achieve the overall
objectives.
Ensure the effective execution of consulting projects contracts across the UK. Define theorganisation and resources required by working closely with various internal departments.
Develop initiatives for growth and optimisation of the P&L to meet financial targets.
Define and execute an effective strategy for commercial risk management ensuring all
contractual requirements and KPIs are met.
Ensure an effective workflow is in place to ensure timely generation of proposals and
completion of projects.
Develop a seamless approach to the planning process and delivery with the project deliveryteam.
Develop strategies for utilisation of NSI products as outcomes from consulting projects.
Work closely with the O&M Technical team and the Engineering Solutions department.
Ensure suitable safe systems of work are in place for all sitebased activities.
Monitor performance and ensure the continuous optimisation of processes.
Works in close collaboration with the sales and wider UK/HQ technical teams on new
opportunities whilst promoting the wider group offerings.
Careful planning of budgets and organisation structure to ensure financial targets are met.
Prepare and present regular reports on department performance.
Implementing quality control measures to ensure services and projects meet or exceed
standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
Degree and postgraduate qualification in relevant Engineering and/or water treatment
discipline (or significant experience in relevant field)
In depth understanding of industrial water and wastewater treatment
At least 5 years of management experience
Experience in managing multidisciplined teams
Appreciation of business strategy development and delivery
Appreciation of service delivery commercial risks and management strategies
Proven experience in project management
Ability to adapt communication to different stakeholders and levels of the internal and
external organisations
Demonstrate strong leadership skills and experience
