Job Title: Optical Designer / Project Engineer
Location: Bedford NH
Compensation: $90000 $140000 (Salary) Bonus Benefits

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Optical Designer / Project Engineer with exceptional communication skills to evaluate develop analyze test and characterize precision optical systems in a clientinteractive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical design Zemax and the development of both government and commercial optical products. You will enjoy significant autonomy and the opportunity to expand your responsibilities in an innovative and fastpaced environment.
Their most acute need is an Optical Designer/Project Engineer with excellent communication skills to evaluate development analyze test & characterize precision optical systems in a highly clientinteractive environment. You will enjoy significant autonomy and the ability to expand your responsibilities into new skill areas.
Qualifications:
- Develop government & commercial products; design aspheres reflective and diffractive elements (using Zemax)
- System integration metrology testing etc.
- Monte Carlo simulation sensitivity and tolerance analysis.
- Generate PowerPoint presentations in support of Design Review Activities for in/external customers.
- Translate client input into firm optical specifications.
- Work with Mfg & OptoMechanical Engineers on optical tolerances engineering drawings & optomechanical mounting schemes.
- Continually learn & share the latest in optical science & fundamental physics principles
Requirements
- BS in Optics/equivalent & 3 years of optical design/analysis (Zemax)
- Presentation skills; able to articulate a fundamental optical system to nonoptical engineers.
- Analytical/problemsolving skills; identification analysis action planning & execution
- Able manage support & complete multiple tasks.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fastpaced environment where projects change on a weekly basis.
