Design Engineer Komatsu Peoria IL
- Design and Development:
- 8 years experience designing wheel motors for offhighway vehicles.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed design specifications and drawings.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure designs meet performance safety and cost requirements.
- Testing and Validation:
- Conduct simulations and physical tests to validate motor performance.
- Analyze test data and make necessary design adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Management:
- Manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source components.
- Oversee the production and assembly of prototypes.
- Technical Support:
- Strong background in gearing and bearing concepts.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wheel motor performance.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in motor design preferably in the offhighway vehicle industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Knowledge of motor control systems and power electronics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
