Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Human Resource (HR) manager (7 years) to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff administering pay benefits and leave and enforcing company policies and practices for a new business organization. The HR manager will collaborate with the management team to implement HR initiatives in line with the organizations strategic objectives. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Create HR strategy including recruiting training compensation retention and others for all employees based on market research; keeps the strategy up to date
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
  • Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes a competitive base to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process which may include recruitment interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants particularly for managerial exempt and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR generalists management and other employees when complex specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations investigating allegations of wrongdoing and terminations.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HR policy and management systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent in Human Resources Business or Organization Development
  • A minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
  • Specialized training in employment law compensation organizational planning organization development employee relations safety training and preventive labor relations preferred.
