Controller Job Description
Overview
We are TDV. TDV buys and grows software and digital media businesses. Since our start in 2017 we have completed nine transactions and operate businesses across education data and enterprise software industries. We are looking for an entrepreneurial controller to lead our accounting team
Responsibilities
Oversee daytoday financial activities including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and general ledger across our entire portfolio of businesses.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for revenue management cost optimization and mitigate risk.
Monitor and manage cash flow working capital and liquidity.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and industryspecific requirements.
Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors.
Lead accounting integration for all new acquisitions. We have completed nine since 2017 and are looking to accelerate pace.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Implement best practices and leverage new technology as necessary to continuously streamline accounting operations while minimizing risk and ensuring reporting accuracy.
Lead grow and manage the accounting team providing guidance mentorship and professional development.
Lead and manage payroll functions.
This role is located in Denver and requires a couple of days in the office every week.
Qualifications
510 years of experience as a Controller or similar senior accounting role preferably within the technology sector.
Experience leading growing and mentoring an accounting team with both domestic and international team members.
Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA preferred).
Strong knowledge of GAAP financial analysis and reporting.
Significant experience in a large ERP system (Sage Intacct preferred).
