Job Description: Financial Controller
Position Title: Financial Controller
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Remote
Department: Finance
Salary 100120K PHP
Position Summary:
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization ensuring that financial records are accurate compliant with regulations and aligned with company goals. The role involves managing the accounting functions financial reporting budgeting forecasting and internal controls. The Financial Controller works closely with senior management to support strategic decisionmaking through financial analysis and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
oPrepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L balance sheet cash flow statement) in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP IFRS or local standards).
oPerform detailed analysis of financial results identifying trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
oMonitor performance against budget and forecasts providing variance analysis and corrective actions when necessary.
oPrepare financial forecasts and projections to guide business strategy.
3. Cash Flow Management
oOversee cash flow management to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
oMonitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to optimize working capital.
4. Internal Controls & Compliance
oDevelop and maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard
company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
oMonitor compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
oReview and assess financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
5. Accounting Operations
oMonitor the daytoday accounting operations including payroll accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and monthend close.
oEnsure accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions and reconciliation of financial records.
6. Team Participation & Development
oFoster a collaborative and productive work environment to drive team success.
7. Strategic Support
oProvide financial input into pricing contracts and other strategic initiatives.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in finance or accounting
Experience: At least 57 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Familiarity with Odoo is a plus.
Knowledge: Indepth knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP IFRS) tax regulations and accounting practices.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
Fulltime remote
This role is essential to ensuring the financial health of the organization by maintaining
accurate financial reporting identifying opportunities for cost control and supporting the
company s strategic growth objectives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor s degree in finance or accounting, Experience: At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Familiarity with Odoo is a plus. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS), tax regulations, and accounting practices. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-makingabilities. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
