Position Summary:
The Chief Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of Crimson Filinvest City Manila. This position is responsible for overseeing financial reporting budgeting forecasting and analysis to support informed decisionmaking. The Chief Accountant ensures compliance with financial regulations implements internal controls to safeguard company assets and manages daytoday accounting operations to maintain accuracy and transparency in financial records.

- Develops and Maintains Financial Plans and Budgets: Formulates comprehensive financial plans annual budgets and periodic forecasts to support the hotels operational and strategic goals ensuring alignment with revenue targets and cost control measures.
- Prepares and Analyzes Financial Statements and Reports: Generates accurate and timely financial reports including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements. Conducts indepth financial analysis to identify trends variances and areas for improvement.
- Manages Cash Flow Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Ensures effective cash flow management by monitoring receivables payables and liquidity levels. Implements strategies to optimize working capital while maintaining strong financial health.
- Conducts Financial Analysis and Provides Strategic Insights: Evaluates financial data to support hotel leadership in making informed business decisions. Identifies costsaving opportunities revenue enhancements and operational efficiencies.
- Implements and Maintains Internal Controls and Procedures: Establishes robust internal controls to safeguard the hotels financial assets prevent fraud and ensure compliance with hotel policies and industry regulations. Regularly reviews and updates financial procedures.
- Coordinates with External Auditors and Regulatory Agencies: Manages audits and liaises with external auditors tax authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local laws financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Provides Leadership and Guidance to the Finance Team: Leads mentors and develops the finance team to maintain high performance and efficiency. Fosters a culture of accuracy accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborates with Other Departments on Financial Planning and Budgeting: Works closely with department heads to develop and monitor budgets ensuring alignment with the hotels financial goals and operational needs. Provides financial insights to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
- Supports Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives: Provides financial expertise for hotel expansion plans capital expenditures costsaving initiatives and revenueenhancing projects. Ensures financial feasibility and compliance in all initiatives.
- Participates in CrossFunctional Teams: Works alongside various hotel departments such as Sales Operations and Procurement to offer financial insights that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Assists in the Implementation of New Financial Systems and Processes: Supports the integration of upgraded financial software automated reporting tools and process improvements to enhance accuracy efficiency and compliance in financial operations.
- Conducts AdHoc Financial Research and Analysis: Performs financial modeling scenario analysis and market research as needed to support business strategies and investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (e.g. Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting or Financial Management).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
- Masters Degree (MBA or Masters in Finance/Accounting) is an advantage but not always required.
- Certifications in Hotel Financial Management (e.g. Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) or Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)) are a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS GAAP and local tax regulations applicable to the hospitality industry.
- Minimum of 57 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management preferably within the hospitality industry.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing financial operations reporting and compliance in a hotel or resort setting.
- Proven expertise in financial planning budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to support hotel operations and strategic decisionmaking.
- Strong background in financial reporting and compliance including knowledge of IFRS GAAP and local tax regulations relevant to the hospitality sector.
- Experience in managing audits coordinating with external auditors and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Proficiency in cost control revenue management and financial risk assessment to enhance hotel profitability and operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership and team management experience with the ability to mentor and develop finance team members in a highperformance environment.
