About the role: We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in driving the development of a core banking application. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical requirements delivering clear and comprehensive technical and functional documentation. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders software development teams and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of the application.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business needs.
Analyze and interpret business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Conduct workshops interviews and surveys to elicit detailed information.
2. Documentation Development:
Create and maintain detailed Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) and Technical Specification Documents (TSD).
Develop process flows user stories and use cases to guide development teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all documentation.
3. Stakeholder Management:
Act as a liaison between business users (subject matter expert) developers and QA teams.
Provide regular updates and ensure all parties are aligned on project goals and deliverables.
4. Solution Design Support:
Assist in designing solutions that align with core banking operations.
Evaluate system workflows and recommend improvements.
Work closely with the development team to ensure technical feasibility.
5. Testing and Validation:
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test cases and scenarios.
Validate delivered features against documented requirements.
6. Change Management and Support:
Document change requests and assess their impact on the system.
Provide postimplementation support and training materials as needed.
Requirements
1. Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Finance or a related field.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP CCBA) is a plus.
2. Experience:
3 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking/financial services or software development.
Proven experience in documenting functional and technical requirements for core banking solutions.
3. Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of core banking systems modules and workflows.
Proficiency in process modeling tools (e.g. Visio Lucidchart) and documentation tools (e.g. Jira Confluence Linear).
Familiarity with programming concepts and database structures is an advantage.
4. Analytical and Communication Skills:
