- Planning outings and activities. Personal care and hygiene tasks
- Monitor health needs including medications special diets and notify supervisor of any outstanding needs.
- Home care shopping and meal preparation
- Setting goals and learning new skills and hobbies
- Assist in developing positive behavior supports by providing feedback about individuals preferences
- Participate in the formulation and implementation of individual treatment plans including data collection reportwriting participation in treatment team meeting and carrying out treatment team recommendations
- Provide Lift and Transfer assistance (may include nonambulatory individuals) requiring ability to carry and maneuver up to 50 or more pounds of unbalanced weight
- Building healthy habits and relationships
- Supporting positive behavior and boundaries
- Maintaining wellbeing and safety by following plans and reporting guidelines
Qualifications :
- 6 months of experience working with people who have developmental disabilities
- Experience using deescalation techniques (preferred)
- Willing to be actively engaged and creative with ideas for outings and engagement in the home
- Experience working as RBT or paraeducator (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- 18 years or older
- Preferred NAR HCA Nurse Delegation CNA NAC
