About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mineral Economist (Mining Financial Analyst) to join our team. This role involves developing cashflow models conducting economic evaluations of mineral projects and creating dashboards to present key financial metrics. Combining economic expertise with mining industry dynamics you will play a pivotal role in supporting decisionmaking and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret data for mining projects including feasibility studies financial statements and operational data.
- Build and maintain detailed cashflow models to support economic evaluations of mining projects.
- Design and deliver interactive dashboards in Excel to present economic data and key metrics.
- Develop visual tools to effectively communicate complex data to stakeholders.
- Present findings and economic forecasts to management and stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics or a relevant field.
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Economics (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in the mining industry.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in advanced Excel including formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience with Excel Dashboards.
- Strong understanding of cashflow modeling and economic analysis.
- Knowledge of Power BI and Tableau is preferred.
- Some experience with Python would be a bonus.
