Job Description

In this role you will manage direct and coordinate safe and efficient operation of the household hazardous waste programs interfacing directly with customers to ensure proper event/collection center management and that contract requirements are being met for the customers collection program.

  • Coordinate all collections to include transportation equipment set up equipment rentals hotel room reservations staffing requirements part time staffing payroll and part time staff recruiting.
  • Assist customer service with creating profiles and providing a Master Drum List so that Customer service can create the shipping documents.
  • Create draft invoices to expedite the invoicing with customer service.
  • Answer technical questions from collection center staff which can be at odd hours.
  • Ensure clean communication with internal operations and transportation.
  • Review profitability after the completion of a project.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide training presentations to customers on proper event operations.
  • Assist the HHW Business Development Manager with marketing this business line by attending trade shows or regional meetings.
  • During off season make sales calls on manufacturing and industrial waste generators to generate revenue.

Salary: $75000 $85000


Qualifications :

Required:

  • HAZWOPER 24 or 40hour certification.
  • Experience either managing or working household hazardous waste events.
  • Must be willing and able to work variable schedules including weekend events and evening hours.
  • 5 years of experience with an environmental services provider.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences
  • CDL Class B with HazMat Endorsement
  • Experience in Material Management waste disposal options
  • HAZWOPER 24 or 40hour certification required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software suite (Word Excel Outlook Power Point)
  • Excellent verbal written and organizational skills
  • Creative thinker with ability to consider out of the box solutions

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones computers copiers etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be willing to travel for weekend projects.
  • Must be able to work 10 to 12 hours during collection events.
  • Must be able to work in nonclimatecontrolled environments.
