Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced PMC Logistics Coordinator (Construction) to manage and oversee all logistics operations for a highprofile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra Iraq. The Logistics Coordinator will ensure the efficient transportation storage and distribution of materials and equipment to support the projects construction activities. This role requires strong organizational skills technical expertise and experience in logistics management for largescale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials equipment and supplies to construction sites in a timely and costeffective manner.
- Monitor and manage the supply chain to ensure the availability of required resources to meet project schedules.
- Collaborate with procurement construction and warehouse teams to align logistics activities with project requirements.
- Oversee the handling storage and inventory management of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Ensure compliance with local customs import/export regulations and projectspecific requirements for all shipments.
- Identify and resolve logistics issues including delays shortages and damages and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments inventory levels and logistics activities for reporting and audit purposes.
- Develop and implement logistics plans and schedules to optimize the use of resources and reduce costs.
- Ensure that all logistics activities adhere to HSE standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with local authorities transport providers and contractors to streamline logistics operations.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience:
- 810 years of experience in logistics coordination with a focus on construction or Oil & Gas projects.
- Experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations supply chain management and inventory control.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with stakeholders and teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in challenging environments.
- Familiarity with local customs and regulations in Iraq is an advantage.
